Month of May – Dedicated to Mother Mary: May Devotion commences from Sunday 1 May 2011 with daily Holy Rosary at 6.30 p.m. and singing of ‘Ave Maria’ followed by Holy Mass.  On Fridays at 5.30 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 7.00 p.m.
Friday 13 May 2011: Wedding Anniversary Mass & Baptism Seminar: Wedding anniversary Mass during 4.45 p.m. Mass for couples celebrating their wedding anniversary during the month of May.  Advance registration at the Parish office.
Baptism seminar at the mini hall from 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. Parents to be and God parents must attend this seminar.
Friday 20 May 2011:The marriage Preparation Course from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in the Mini Hall. Registration at the Parish office.
Christian Life Program for Single Young Men and Women: CFC SINGLES FOR CHRIST, Dubai would like to invite all SINGLE men and women between the ages 21 and 40 years for a CHRISTIAN LIFE PROGRAM to enable them to discover themselves more and understand God’s love for them.  Orientation will be on 27th May 2011 at 7.30 pm at the Mini Hall. Pastoral Visit: Pastoral visit by His Excellency Bishop Paul Hinder Vicar Apostolic of Arabia commences from Monday 16 May to Sunday 22 May 2011.
His schedule is as follows:
a.     Wednesday, 18 May at 7.45 pm: Adult confirmation
b.    Friday, 20 May at 7.30pm: Reception in the Main Hall and Fellowship at the church compound. There will be no other activities in the parish.
c.     Saturday, 21 May at 10.00 am and 3.30 pm: Confirmation of children. The regular 5.00 pm mass will be held in the Main Hall.
d.    Sunday, 22 May at 7.30 pm: Pontifical High Mass
All parishioners are invited to attend these various celebrations.
Seminar on Marriage and Money: The Family Ministry of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai  is inviting parishioners  of age 20 & above to a seminar on Marriage & Money on Saturday 11 June 2011  from 6pm – 8pm  in the Main Hall.  The Speaker is Dr. Raymond H. Hamden, Clinical & Forensic Psychologist of HRI, Dubai.  Limited seating on first come first served basis.  Registration in advance at the parish office.  Family Ministry volunteers will provide baby sitting facility.
Computer Hardware Course: For the benefit of our needy parishioners, the St Mary’s Samaritans Ministry has organised a life time learning opportunity to become a PC/Computer hardware whiz in 3 months. Those parishioners who are interested to enrol or volunteer please contact any of the SAMARITANS at the Parish Office after mass on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.  Click here for additional details.
Pilgrimage to Holy Land: St. Mary’s Church is offering parishioners an opportunity to experience and see the Holy Land from 15 June to 23 June 2011. The trip is organized by St. Mary’s Church.   For registration and inquiries, please contact the Parish Office.
Decree of Division of Territories of the Vicariate of Arabia: This is to announce the forthcoming changes of territorial division of the Apostolic Vicariates of Arabia and Kuwait. This decree comes from the congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, which explains that with effect from 31 May 2011, the territories of the two Apostolic Vicariates will be changed and the titles of the Vicariates will be modified. The Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia will embrace the territories of United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen. The Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia will embrace the territories of Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Bishop Paul Hinder, Apostolic Vicar of the present Vicariate of Arabia, is inviting everyone to accept this decision of the Holy See with filial obedience and to see it in a positive light as a way to distribute the pastoral care of the ever growing migrant population more equally among the two vicariates. Bishop Paul Hinder will remain as Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia.
