Sr M Philomille passed away on Saturday, August 14th 2010 at 4.30am. Funeral rites will be held today (August 14th) at St Raymond’s Convent Vamanjoor, Mangalore, at 3.30pm. 

Sr M Philomille hails from Kundapur, daughter of Late Mr Xavier Carvalho and Late Regina Carvalho. She joined the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore on 10.01.1934. She served as a teacher for many years and won the hearts of many students in places like, Bendur, Bajpe, Kinnigoly, Kulshekar, Gadenahally (Hassan), Taccode and Moodubelle. After her retirement, she spent her time in prayer at Gurpur, Basrur and Vamanjoor. A simple child like soul is flown to Heaven interceding for all of us. May her soul rest in peace!

Chelsea & Nathan , used to attend their weekly Catechism class on Fridays at St. Mary’s & were registered for the following year too.
